It’s a great idea to hire a professional photographer on the Big Island to capture such a special and exciting moment in a couple’s life – a surprise proposal! These beautiful Engagement photos were timed to coincide with the setting sun in Waikoloa – on the west side of Big Island near Kona.

The Sun sets in the West, so Waikoloa and Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii are perfect sunset locations to watch the golden Sun set into the ocean. Another unique feature of this gorgeous backdrop is the fact that you can see Maui island in the distance on a clear day.

Another good thing is that the weather is usually dry and sunny on the west side of Big Island, so a gorgeous golden sunset is pretty much guaranteed every time. The photographer needs to know how to shoot sunsets, of course, and that’s where our photography experience comes in.

This surprise proposal was planned out in advance with the Photographer and the venue. The venue was Four Seasons Hualalai in Waikoloa. Also, private and custom dinner on the beach for just the couple was planned out in advance, as well. Perfect spot on the beach, custom menu, excellent service, best photographer, and a Golden Sunset. What else can you ask for?

Hilton Hawaiian Village is a great place for family photography. It’s very convenient if you’re staying there or nearby. It’s walking distance to awesome spots for taking photos such as the Kahanamoku Lagoon lined with palm trees and calm water, the beach with views of Diamond Head, real Hawaiian canoes, and a solid rockwall jetty all make great backgrounds for awesome family photos.

This lucky family had lots of fun and got a nice variety of family photos to commemorate their Hawaii vacation together, their daughter’s graduation, and some couple’s shots of the parents.

After taking awesome Maternity photos at 29 weeks term we decided to get away from Honolulu New Year’s noise, fireworks, and smoke and drove all the way to the North Shore of Oahu! We ended up in Laie, where it was peaceful and beautiful, and so worth the 1 hour drive. It was a gorgeous New Year’s morning.

We took some shots at the incredible Laie point, stopped by for a nice breakfast at Turtle Bay Resort and took more Maternity photos at the famous Turtle Bay. Then we decided to switch up the beach scene, so we drove to the lush greenery of Waiamea Valley and really soaked in all the fresh air of the ancient valley, where Hawaiians lived in harmony with Nature.

Magic Island is a great place for taking Family photos as well as Weddings, Engagements, and Birthdays. Magic Island is close to Waikiki and Ala Moana. It offers views of the ocean from three sides, a calm water lagoon, views of Diamond Head, boat harbor, Waikiki cityscapes, Ala Moana cityscapes, sunset, and greenery of the huge park inside with lots of big trees, including Banyan trees. No wonder it’s so popular!

Magic Island beach park is very family friendly and lots of local families come here on the weekends for barbecues, birthdays parties, sports activities, and get-togethers. Regardless it’s a huge park, so there’s definitely always room for everyone! Even Waikiki fireworks can be seen from here on Friday nights. And it’s worth visiting at least once. After all, it’s magic!

Waimanalo Beach is a beautiful serene beach that stretches for miles along the south-east side of Oahu. It doesn’t get crowded and there’s plenty space to take a variety of beautiful photos with Waimanalo Bay’s turquoise blue water, several small islands in the background, mountains, and an enchanted forest.

It’s a great beach to get away from the city to soak up the sun, take a dip in the ocean, and take some great Family photos. It’s about a 35 minute drive from Honolulu along the most beautiful oceanside drive is an unforgettable experience just to get there with several other “must-see” spots on the way.

Due to it’s incredible beauty, Waimanalo Bay is a popular location not only for family beach photos, but also for beach weddings too.

After an amazing Hawaiian Wedding at the gorgeous Haiku Gardens on Oahu this lucky newlywed couple headed to the beach to take some more awesome photos!

We were lucky to find a super private beach in Kaneohe with no one around right before the sun went down! There was even a swing, nice trees, boats, mountains, and we could see Chinaman’s Hat island in the distance! #Instalove

The light Hawaiian ocean breeze was in our favor resulting in stunning wedding gown photos! It was awesome!

In this case the mother-to-be is 29 weeks pregnant. She is full of energy and feels great! We took this special Maternity photo shoot at an uncrowded, but beautiful beach and we even went in the water! It was lots of fun! And most importantly captured these life’s special moments that the baby to be will be able to see!

First Birthdays are a big deal in Hawaii. This 1st Birthday photoshoot took place at Ala Moana beach park next to Magic Island during sunset. The lucky family came prepared with their Birthday props and outfits for the lucky baby. It was a beautiful, calm sunset and the baby didn’t cry. Parents helped too when they could to make the baby smile and look towards the camera ensuring a successful 1st Birthday photo session. These Birthday photos were taken ahead of the actual 1st Birthday party to serve as invitations, collages, and unforgettable memories.
